Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 3 wheel stroller reversible seat Eco Collection is a versatile stroller that converts from a single stroller to a double stroller with the addition of an additional seat or glider board (sold separately). The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is able to be set up into a triple-travel system with the addition of a bench or infant car seat. It has 24 different configurations and is a top stroller overall. The model is made of Baby Jogger’s soft, breathable and sustainably sourced TENCEL fabrics. They help regulate temperature. It comes with an elegant leatherette handlebar and bumper bar, and comes with a belly bar. It is 20% smaller and lighter than the leading single-to-double stroller available, the UPPAbaby V2.
It features a medium-sized shade and an e-snap-aboo window which is easy to open and close. The telescoping bar is one of the most easily adjustable and is suitable for parents of any height. The seats recline and have a footwell adjustment knob to allow you to position your child for maximum comfort. The storage bin has plenty of space, however we would have liked a more secure latch. The bin is easy to open, but the zippers are a bit annoying because they need to be removed and refastened after every use.
The City Select, like its counterparts, has single-action brakes that are simple to install and release by pulling a lever on the frame side, lower than the handlebar. It’s sandal and barefoot-friendly and is an improvement over the clunky toe-pinch brake lever that a few of the competitors utilize.
This is the only stroller in our review that is able to accept two infant car seats, making it a great alternative for twins, or for parents with a single child and a new baby coming soon. It can be used with most major brands infant car seats using an adapter. We tested it using Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30, Graco Click Connect models, Cybex Aton and Aton Q and Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. It’s a good choice for families with a car seat and need an appropriate stroller, but you may prefer a convertible stroller that can fit an additional car seat for infants in this instance.
